Detailed Description
The Chaparral 2D was one of the most innovative sports racing cars of the 1960s. Powered by a Chevrolet 327 cubic-inch V8 producing over 420 horsepower, it featured a lightweight fiberglass body, semi-automatic transmission, and groundbreaking aerodynamic design.
In 1966, drivers Phil Hill and Jo Bonnier piloted the Chaparral 2D to victory in the grueling 1000 km Nürburgring, conquering the legendary 14.2-mile Nordschleife against Europe's best manufacturers.
Their win showcased Chaparral's advanced engineering and cemented the 2D's place as one of the most iconic American-built endurance racing cars in history.
Our 1:18 resin cast model will replicate this iconic Chaparral with intricate details and accuracy. The model will feature a fully wired and plumbed engine bay. Prototype photos will be posted soon.
