Spark was the first model company to really specialize in modelling replicas in resin rather than diecast metal. In the early days, collectors were rather sceptical of resin, and some refused to put Spark models in their collections. The main advantage of resin is that making smaller production runs of models is financially viable. This has enabled Spark to create more specialist replicas, and fill several small gaps in the market. Today, Spark’s offering is vast, featuring subjects from the modern and classic worlds of Formula One, endurance racing, rallying and road cars, in both 1:18 and 1:43 scale. The brand is particularly well known for its love of Le Mans, and over the years Spark has released many hundreds of different models of cars that have raced at the 24 Hours.
